In 1988, CalTech started as a software development company in the garage of Bob Calabrese. When several of Calabrese’s employees left he sought out help to strengthen the CalTech brand. Enter Will Welch and Brent McCasland. Will and Brent, business graduates of Angelo State University, opened Outback Computer Service in 1995 with an investment of $600 and two credit cards! They brought along Outback Computer’s loyal customer base, strong financials, and the competitive advantage to give CalTech the boost it needed. The two companies merged in 1998, maintaining the CalTech Brand. In late 1998, Mr. Welch and Mr. McCasland assumed full ownership of the company.
Brent and Will started with the objective of supporting their families and it soon became clear that CalTech was blessed. With that goal accomplished, they felt compelled to expand CalTech to offer that same opportunity to others. Holding true to our mission statement, the goal has always been to provide a stable source of income and support to all CalTech employees and their families while providing exceptional value and service to our clients.

The CalTech staff have always gone above-and-beyond when it comes to customer service and field expertise. "Our" problems are treated like "their" problems and they stay at it until it's resolved or known avenues are exhausted. Then they go research for more solutions. CalTech consistently exceeds my expectations in response and service. Excellent communications keeps me informed of status and resolution even when I am away.
I cannot say enough how much I like NetAlertPLUS. It beats the tar out of the 2 open source products I was messing with. I reinstalled anti-virus software on 6 machines last week that were not working. It found a bunch of stuff on the compliance side as well.
Our experience with CalTech is great because everyone is always so nice and eager to solve our problems!
As our company has grown we have come to rely on the support from CalTech. There is one individual that always goes above and beyond and is known throughout our company and that is Chris Russell. We have been with CalTech for many years and we feel like our growth is due in part to the support from CalTech, specifically Cal Roberson and Chris Russell.
