AUSTIN, Texas— CalTech has been honored with the coveted Five*Star Award presented by the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT). The IT services company will be officially recognized on October 6, 2020, as part of the 2020 IBAT unCONVENTIONal, the association’s virtual annual convention.
Since 2002, IBAT has recognized its associate members that routinely provide excellent service and innovative solutions to help community banks grow, enhance profits, and gain efficiency with the Five*Star Award. To be in consideration for the Five*Star Award, an associate member must earn enough engagement points—gained through participation in IBAT and industry events, etc.—to be in the top 10 percent of its tier. IBAT member banks then vote to determine the winner in each tier. Criteria used to determine this year’s winners included service excellence, human relationships, integrity, commitment to the community banking industry, and exceptional value to the banks they serve.
Only three Five*Star Awards are given annually, and CalTech won in the tier 2 category, which is based on the number of employees. It is a past recipient of this prestigious award in 2017, 2015, and 2011 as well. A leading provider of IT for financial institutions, CalTech’s mission is to build lasting relationships and deliver value through exceptional technology services.
“It is our pleasure to recognize CalTech for supporting Texas community banks through its participation in both IBAT activities and industry advocacy efforts,” says Christopher Williston, IBAT president, and chief executive officer. “IBAT and our member banks depend on this IT company’s expertise and exceptional client service, as well as its demonstrated commitment and passion for the community banking industry. Especially given the current challenges and increased focus on cybersecurity, it is more important than ever to have a trusted industry partner like CalTech.”
CalTech specializes in optimizing technology for financial institutions by designing unique business-aligned IT strategies. With more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry, CalTech’s services are designed to increase financial institutions’ profitability and efficiency while ensuring security. It was recently named as one of the ‘2020 Best Companies to Work for in Texas.’
